Beautiful October Sunday...

in MICHIGAN!!!!  We decided to go Westview Orchard with Grandma and Grandpa Carpenter.  The weather was so warm, it was crazy!

We love you Mom and Dad, also known as Grandma and Grandpa Carpenter! :)  Thank you for coming with us.  We enjoyed seeing you and spending time together. 

We love VOX

Our church, Vox, has moved!!  We outgrew the Elementary school and are now at the Lanse Creuse High School.  We are so happy our friends Danielle and Duane are coming with their daughter.  We invited them and it's so great to have friends there with us.  It is such a wonderful church, I knew they would not be disappointed!

The kids are so cute ...after service they like to sit together and eat a Nutri-Grain Bar or Granola Bar and drink Lemonade with a little straw.  This is Brooke and her friends, Addison and Natalie.   

These two went up on the stage after service while everyone was cleaning up.  This is Brooke and her friend, Aliza!  They have fun together.

Deneweth's with Elise

On Saturday we went to Deneweth's with Elise and her mom, Ursula.  The girls play pretty well together.  Brooke gets frustrated though because Elise is 2 years older and Brooke wants to do everything she does!  But, overall they really do love each other and enjoy being with each other.  Their favorite part was the SPOOKY RIDE on the train.  It was so cute to see them get spooked!!!  Brooke is sincerely scared this year of Halloween decorations.  This is the first year that she has expressed anxiety and fear from Halloween decor!  Thanks Ursula and Elise for hanging out with us!

We just love when she smiles. She's been moody lately, so when we get a smile it's a great day!

Some favorites from the zoo last month

It was a beautiful September day.  She was my little guide, she loved looking at the map.  When we got home we realized we were looking at the Potter Park Zoo map!!!!  Oh well, we still had fun "pretending" we knew where we were going!

She just started making smiley faces in the B of her name....silly girl! 

And, if you look closely in the right bottom corner...she drew our family!  The littlest person is our baby, soon to be adopted.  We do not know who it will be, but Brooke is praying for a baby sister!  We will see what God has for us.  We are in the final stage of becoming a "waiting family!"

Friends visit from GR

This is my friend Danni and her husband Shawn, they came to visit us while in our area for a conference.  It was nice to see them and meet Shawn for the first time.  Brooke really seemed to like Shawn, he was so good with her, played with her and was silly with her, too! 

Matt grilled delicious chicken and steak for dinner, then we had a fire to make s'mores for dessert!
